Legal Agreement

Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025 (Last Updated: 2026)

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Agreement" or "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "Client," or "You") and Appliance Repair Pros ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Agreement governs your use of https://appliancerepairservicepros.com, telephone scheduling interactions through 877-710-1318, diagnostic service requests, and on-site residential or commercial appliance repair work performed by independent service professionals in our dispatch network.

By scheduling an appointment, approving a diagnostic quote, or permitting a technician to inspect your appliance, you accept and agree to comply fully with these Terms.

2. Service Model and Dispatch Coordination

Appliance Repair Pros operates a nationwide dispatch and connection network connecting property owners with qualified, independent local appliance repair technicians. Our dispatch desk collects failure symptom reports, matches scheduling requirements with local availability, and routes service calls to field technicians. All physical diagnostic procedures, labor quotes, and mechanical repairs are performed directly by qualified technicians on-site.

3. Diagnostic Evaluations and Repair Authorization

Understanding the true failure point of modern computer-controlled appliances requires physical, electrical, and mechanical inspection:

  • Diagnostic Inspection Fee: When a technician arrives at your premises, a standard diagnostic inspection is performed to identify the root cause of the breakdown. This fee compensates the technician for travel, time, and component testing using specialized digital multimeters and diagnostic tools.
  • Written Estimates Prior to Work: Following diagnostic testing, the technician presents a clear written estimate itemizing necessary replacement parts, shipping fees (if applicable), and labor costs.
  • Customer Approval Required: No mechanical repairs or component replacements will commence without your explicit verbal or written authorization. If you decline the recommended repair, you remain responsible solely for the initial diagnostic inspection fee.

4. Customer Responsibilities and Appliance Clearance

To ensure technician safety and avoid property damage, the Customer must provide reasonable accommodations during the service visit:

  • Adult Presence: An authorized adult occupant (at least eighteen years of age) with legal authority to approve repairs and financial expenditures must remain present throughout the diagnostic and repair visit.
  • Physical Appliance Clearance: Technicians require unobstructed clearance around malfunctioning units. Built-in refrigerators, stacked laundry sets, and under-counter dishwashers must have sufficient access so the technician can slide the equipment forward safely without damaging surrounding cabinetry, countertops, or delicate flooring.
  • Safe Work Environment: Work areas must be well-lit, free of clutter, and clear of hazardous materials. Household pets must be secured in a separate room prior to the technician's arrival.

5. Utility Shutoffs and Pre-Existing Property Conditions

Major appliances connect directly to high-voltage household electrical circuits, pressurized potable water lines, or combustible gas supplies:

  • Accessible Shutoff Valves: Property owners must provide immediate access to electrical breaker panels, main water shutoff valves, and fuel shutoff cocks corresponding to the appliance being serviced.
  • Pre-Existing Corrosion and Wear: We and our technicians cannot accept liability for failures of aged, brittle, or corroded household utility connections (such as calcified shutoff valves, deteriorated copper supply lines, corroded drain stacks, or brittle vinyl flooring) that fail during normal service disconnection or movement.

6. Replacement Parts and Manufacturer Specifications

Technicians install replacement components engineered to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) performance standards:

  • Component Sourcing: Common wearable components (igniters, thermal fuses, drain pumps, drive belts, start relays) are frequently carried in service vehicles. Specialty control boards, sealed system compressors, or custom electronic modules may require ordering through factory distribution networks.
  • Special Order Parts: Specialty parts ordered specifically for your model number may require advance payment and may be subject to manufacturer return restrictions. Estimated delivery dates reflect supplier availability and are subject to supply chain timelines beyond our direct control.
  • Title to Parts: Ownership of installed replacement components transfers to the Customer only upon complete payment of all invoiced parts and labor charges.

7. Limited Warranty and Guarantee Conditions

We stand behind professional workmanship. Authorized repairs carry a limited warranty:

  • Installed Parts Warranty: Replacement components carry the warranty terms established by the component manufacturer, typically ranging from thirty (30) to ninety (90) days from installation.
  • Labor Warranty: Technician labor on the specific component installed is guaranteed for thirty (30) days from completion of service against defects in installation.
  • Warranty Claim Procedure: If the identical symptom recurs within the warranty window, contact our dispatch desk at 877-710-1318 immediately. A return inspection will be scheduled to evaluate the installed part. If failure results from a defective replacement part, the part will be re-serviced under warranty.

8. Warranty Exclusions and Voiding Events

Our limited warranty applies strictly to the specific mechanical repair completed and explicitly excludes:

  • Unrelated component failures occurring after the initial repair visit (e.g., a fan motor failing two weeks after an unrelated defrost heater replacement).
  • Damage resulting from household electrical anomalies, power surges, lightning strikes, or improper breaker sizing.
  • Water damage or clogs caused by external household plumbing backups, hard water scale buildup, or frozen external supply lines.
  • Customer tampering, unauthorized third-party modification, self-repair attempts, or commercial usage of residential equipment.
  • Foreign object obstruction (such as coins, nails, bra underwires, or utensils lodged in drain pumps or macerators).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Appliance Repair Pros and its affiliated technicians shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to appliance breakdowns or repair services. This includes, without limitation, lost grocery or food spoilage expenses, spoiled wine, commercial laundry costs, alternative housing expenses, or water leakage resulting from aged household supply valves.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from service shall not exceed the total monetary amount actually paid by the Customer for the specific diagnostic or repair service that gave rise to the claim.

10. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments

Field technicians reserve dedicated arrival windows to provide focused attention to your appliance emergency:

  • Notice Requirement: If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must provide notice at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled dispatch window by calling 877-710-1318.
  • Late Cancellation & Missed Visits: Appointments cancelled with less than twenty-four hours notice, or visits where the technician arrives during the confirmed window and is unable to gain entry after reasonable contact attempts, may be assessed a trip or dispatch reservation fee.

11. Payment Terms and Invoicing

Full payment for diagnostic evaluations and completed repairs is due immediately upon completion of service. Technicians accept standard major credit cards, debit cards, and approved electronic payments. Delinquent balances after thirty (30) days are subject to standard collection fees, interest charges, and reasonable legal costs incurred during balance recovery.

12. Governing Law and Severability

These Terms shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the repair service is delivered. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining terms shall continue in full legal force and effect.
